Starring: Scott Eastwood, Britt Robertson, Alan Alda
Director: George Tillman Jr
Insipid but sweet story about a rodeo rider (Eastwood) who meets-cute with an arts student (Robertson), and falls at first sight. Complications ensue when the girl admits she’s leaving for art college in the big city in one month, so the relationship is doomed, but unlikely savior in the form of an irascible old man (Alda) and his box of precious letters to his dead wife might give them the advice they need to save their love.
From Nicholas Sparks, the guy who brought us the novels adapted into The Notebook and Dear John, this cookie cutter chick flick contains nothing original and some fairly average performances, but has enough charm to please the chick flick/romance crowd.
Watch It If: you like movies where it’s perpetually summer or didn’t want to throw up while watching The Notebook. Otherwise, beware.
Don’t throw anything at me, but I actually loved this one! He’s such a hunk!
