Sometimes dark, sometimes funny, always lavish, Amadeus is a lush and vibrant film. It tells the story of Salieri, a talented court composer who admires Mozart as having divine talent. A pious man, his love turns to obsessive hate when he meets Mozart and finds that God has gifted a man who is selfish, foppish and a bit of a fool. He sets out to ruin Mozart. Based on real events, though fictionalised, watch the video below for my review.
Oh my…I distinctly remember this! This was one of our required movies in Music class back in high school haha! (We watched this alongside My Immortal Beloved back then.)
